Just a quick update about some attention two designs have received recently.
The first being the business cards I did for the NortheastEnder that were previously featured have been featured again by two more sites.

businesscards24.com, a site that features business cards that are the “perfect marketing tool”, noted their unique size and described them as “Simple and memorable”. And Jennifer Farley, a fellow designer and educator at Laughing Lion Design out of Ireland, also featured the design in a roundup of twelve of the best business cards using green.
The second project to be featured is the new logo design for CastRoller, included in the “Cream of the crop” gallery at Logopond, recognizing top notch identity work from very skilled designers. You can also read more about the development of CastRoller’s new logo at bloggingtips.com.

Thanks to all three for noticing the hard work put into both projects.

The business card designs done for the online publication NortheastEnder were featured in the design inspiration gallery faveup, which previously featured the Talk of the Town identity in February.
Leschinski Design’s new look has also been receiving attention in the industry, being featured in Webdesign is Art out of France, We Love Wordpress for our unique blog design, and participating in the May Standards Reboot.
Lastly, I wrote two articles for David Peralty’s eXtra for Every Publisher this month on the fall of folksonomy and how to make it usefull again.
Exciting times here. You’ll likely see some more changes as we complete the redesign of our website, so thank you for bearing with us as we make the transition.

While my the work has the privilege of representing clients, it also has the honour of being recognized by industry peers from time to time. Here are two such instances lately where our work has been recognized online.
The design we did for Bryan Johnson Creations was rated the top design for February 25th 2008 on Command Shift Three and sits in the top 25% of sites rated on Command Shift Three. CommandShift3 is like the popular site Hot or Not, but instead of rating pictures of people, you are presented with screenshots of two websites side by side which you then chose the better of.
The identity created for Talk of the Town, a television show produced by Shaw Communications’ local station in Fort Frances, was also recently included in the logo gallery at Faveup.com. Faveup is a gallery for inspirational design. Faveup rewards great design with the respect and linkage it deserves.
